“ I don't know how I haven't written a review yet! Crawford's Social is by far one of my favorite restaurants. It is perfect for breakfast, brunch, happy hour, dinner, late night snacks/drinks. Literally perfect for any occasion. The drinks are sooo amazing. The frosé is one of their blended drinks and is the best I've ever had. The drinks are incomparable to other restaurants. The food items are both enough for one person or to order a few to be shareable. The menu is designed to order different entrees and share them among your group. The staff goes above and beyond every time I have been here. This place has never missed. The atmosphere is so beautiful with a lot of comfortable outdoor seating. The parking is also very nice as there is a huge parking lot in front. I've been here over a handful (or two handfuls) of times and every time has been nothing but phenomenal! ”
“ First off we had the BEST waitress Ms. Aisha. She was professional, friendly, gave great suggestions on food and beverages, and always had a smile on her face. Aisha is a vibe and will take care of you. The place is a cute spot. 1st time coming with some friends and they played early 90's 2000s R&B which I loved. The Happy Hour menu did not disappoint. It's worth every penny you spend. ”
“ Made a reservation for 6 pm on Saturday for dinner and drinks with friends. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted and asked if we'd be ok with a high top, which was fine. The group ordered cocktails and I had a zero proof mocktail - the Everleaf Spritz. Drinks arrived quickly and everyone enjoyed. For dinner, we shared the bread, crispy shrimp tacos, filet sliders, brussels sprouts salad and sausage and mushroom pizza. Everything was good, but salad was the favorite. The restaurant is beautiful and service was great, especially given how busy it was. Overall a little pricey, but nice place for date night or celebratory dinner. ”
“ I stopped by Crawford's on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving--not planning to black out like some of the Wednesday Warriors around me, but hey, the vibe was infectious. Turns out, happy hour ran all night, which is honestly genius. Crawford's, if you're listening: make this a monthly tradition. Your traffic will thank you. Whoever was in charge of the playlist deserves a raise. It was a perfect mix of Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift and even Zedd & Tyla (for WLV that's huge lol) keeping the energy high and the buzz flowing--pun very much intended. Speaking of drinks, I tried a dirty martini with Roku gin on the bartender's recommendation. Easily the best martini I've had in Westlake Village. The olives and blue cheese? Fresh as can be--none of that funky, counter-sitting vibe you get at some places. Plus, it came with a sidecar. A sidecar! Value for money never tasted so good. Food-wise, I stuck to apps and sides because, let's be real, the mains here are a little extra on the pricing. The truffle fries were a win--piping hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned, and they arrived in under five minutes. The Bolognese pasta, though? Hmm. It had cream in it, which threw me off. I'm picky with Bolognese--it needs that bold, winey, meaty flavor, and this one was more "meh" than "mamma mia." Pasta texture? Al dente perfection. Flavor? A solid 3/5. The hamachi was fresh but could've used a citrusy punch. It ate a little dry--maybe it just needed the same playlist magic to give it some zest. DESSERT, the true stars of the evening. The croissant beignet is a must for any dessert lover. It was crispy, perfectly fried, and tasted like a dream, especially dipped in the salted caramel sauce. The brownie came in a cute little ramekin (so extra in the best way) and was the hearty, cozy finish I needed. I paired it with a frosé, because, obviously. Service was top-notch despite the holiday chaos. The bartenders were SOOO attentive and friendly, acknowledged everyone at the bar and never missed a beat on checking in if anyone needed anything. and our dinner server crushed it with great recommendations and lightning-fast water refills. Bottom line: Crawford's is the perfect spot for apps, drinks, and desserts. Full-on dinner? They're getting there. But if you're in it for the light bites and buzz, it's a win. ”
“ I'm going to give this restaurant 5 stars and heavily weighted on the service. Very attentive crew. The food is good but the menu is not clear. Let me explain. We ordered a harvest salad and it came with chunks of cheese. Someone in our party can't have cheese and didn't know it came with cheese. They wipe down the tables with rubbing alcohol which is fine but my water cup had a hint of the rubbing alcohol in it. They were polite and replaced my cup. Like I mentioned, the service is great. The restaurant doesn't scream out " we have our stuff together" but that's not a knock on the restaurant, it's hopefully viewed as constructive criticism. The wait staff is amazing and we had so many different people approach our table. It's a good looking restaurant- love the private booths! Lastly, I think they might make their Pickles in house. They seemed fresh and not lile overly pickled if that makes sense. Second lastly, I saw they're open Thanksgiving Day for a Thanksgiving Feast. ”
“ I'm glad we came here to celebrate two amazing ladies I've had the pleasure of working with for a long time. This place is perfect for drinks--very Westlake vibes. Upscale atmosphere, a dog in the restroom, and people dressed in cocktail attire. The mezcal drinks I had were crafted exceptionally--so good I had two. I also tried a sip of a gin martini, and it was excellent. The appetizer I ordered was small but well executed. Chelsey was a rockstar--patient, kind, and attentive to our large group. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience. ”
“ Came here for dinner with friends & we sat outside. We ordered a variety of items from the menu to share. The crabcakes are crispy on the outside and have good flavor with the sauce. Truffle fries come in a basket and there is plenty for sharing. The Westlake filet sliders are juicy and you can see the butter melting off the sides. Skirt steak was cooked to our liking and excellent for sharing. Had to get the tuna avocado as well- loved it the last time I was there and ordered. Parking- plenty of parking in the lot ”
“ One of my favorite "drinks and a snack" spots although often I end up getting a full meal! I love that they have an indoor and outdoor bar so you can choose your own dining adventure. The space is gorgeously decorated with lovely semi circular booths for a more intimate experience which are nice and comfy. Service is spectacular. The staff has always been so friendly and enthusiastic every time I've visited. My favorite things here are the truffle fries, crab cakes, and London made cocktail. I've order them multiple times and have been a hit every time. Also, if you stop by for brunch the ice cream french toast is a must. I'm not a fan of french toast but this one I really enjoyed. With plenty of seating, 2 bars, good food, and the lovely decor I think this is a great place to meet up with friends or even just have a meal on your own. ”
“ The spaces, inside and outside, are divine; there's no question about that. Love the way that each area can flow to the next, visually, and practically. This restaurant-lounge can accommodate a lot of guests. It's elegant, yet not stuffy. The added touch of trees lit up against the night sky after dark adds extra magic. I had been here before for a lovely Yelp event, and was anxious to bring Dear Hubby for a meal / drink. We have close friends who live in the West Valley who were in town for a small event, and the four of us had already planned to go for dinner after. I suggested a couple of places, and they could tell that I was heavily leaning toward Crawford's Social, so off we went. All of us were impressed with the first glimpses of the exterior, and then even more visual delights as we walked in to the host stand - where there was no one to greet us. It actually took some time for someone to notice that we were there. I struggle at times to balance fair critique with the disappointments of unmet expectations. The wait time was bordering on excessive. We were shown to a table outside, but under the cover of a fixed roof. That provided the open air experience, while holding in some of the heat of the building as the evening cooled. That worked. Unfortunately, the music volume was too high for comfortable conversation. I love music, and most of the selections were songs that I enjoy, but we were there to relax and catch up with friends, so the noise level was sometimes a distraction. For a lovely place like Crawford's Social, I would say that it took too long for our server to come along and greet us and offer beverages. When he did come, he apologized for the wait. I guess the servers were on their own without help from a busser on the night we were there. He was helpful with menu suggestions. Throughout the meal I think he had too many tables to be able to check back in with us in the interval you might expect. At $9 for the bread service, I was reluctant to order it. Guess I should have gone with my instinct. When half of a miniature loaf of rustic-style bread arrived, I felt like I'd ordered a regular scoop of ice cream and was presented with a sample spoon. There were five slices of bread, and they weren't finished in a special way - such as drizzled with olive oil and crusted with herbs or the like. It was plain bread, served with a side of whipped butter. At the price point, underwhelming. DH and I decided to split an order of Pappardelle Bolognese. While delicious, it was a style with which I wasn't familiar. It was light on tomatoes, but heavy on finely chopped carrots (?) and meat, which I think was ground veal mainly. To my recollection of many years on the planet, I don't recall seeing carrots in my Bolognese before. The Internet tells me that it is definitely a style to include onions, celery, and carrots in a "soffritto" base. This is not my normal go-to. As there are so many other amazing items on the menu, I will try something else next time and leave this dish as a memory experience. Overall, the ambiance and general vibe gets 5 stars+++. Service when we were there was 3.5 stars. Food was about a 4, based on what DH and I ordered. Our friends had the steak sliders and loved them. The pasta dish was a decent value for the quality of ingredients and preparation / presentation. The bread - well, I already devoted a paragraph to that. DH had a craft beer, I had a pineapple juice (served with a real pineapple wedge as garnish), we shared the pasta dish, and shared the bread. $68 with tip. We will return and sample our way through other menu items. Cheers! ”
“ Wanted to try someplace different for us for lunch in Westlake area. My buddy suggested Crawford's. Good choice! Beautiful afternoon - perfect for patio dining. And Crawfords has a huge and lovely patio (see photo - which doesn't do it justice - blame the photographer). We decided to share a pizza. We went with the sausage and mushroom ($24). Quite tasty for a flatbread style pizza. They have 5 or 6 beers on tap that go well with the pizza. Service was excellent throughout the meal. Great spot for a casual lunch. ”
